And double unfortunately, I was buying a couple hundred dollars worth of stuff. Once I got home I was trying to see if I could finds a coupon and then see if the store would give me a retroactive refund for the savings if i used a Michael’s Coupon.
I searched all across the internet only to end up on a lot of websites like retailmenot that had coupon codes but no real coupons for use at the store. Actually many of the codes I saw on their site also mentioned they were not verified or were not guaranteed to work.
Well this drove me crazy until I finally happened to the deep place within the Michaels website where you can find printable coupons. I also found out, weeks later, there is another page on their site where you can oftentimes see deals.
Oh yeah, the link, got to this link . It is a print of their weekly ad. Hover your mouse over the coupon you want and click. This will lead you to a place where you can actually print that coupon. Bam! No more newspaper subscription needed. Why they do not put this up in a more prominent place on the site I do not know. But anyway, that is why I built this little informal site.
While you are there you might also want to look around at all of the wonderful resources they have available on their website. I especially like the way it is easy to use and not too “busy” or “cluttered. The only thing I do not like is the pictures that come in and then fade out. I know they are trying to communicate many ideas, but 1 at a time. But I hate it because I am always just getting interested when the picture disappears.
Anyhow their site covers all the store departments. It also has a lot of ideas, projects, and things you can do with supplies from Michael’s, and of course using your Michaels coupons. A little info about my favorite store.
Michaels is almost a $4 billion dollar company and is by far the largest arts and crafts retail chain store in the United States. They have a stated goal of “inspiring creativity” and I think that is clearly manifested when you go into a store or see how they have designed their website. The fact that they have community events and classes in every store shows that they are community oriented and are dedicated to making the lives of their customers better.
This is an interesting point to make. For example take furniture. When you go to a furniture store it is almost like they are doing you a favor by selling you furniture. But they way Michaels is set up it is like they are trying to help you have fun, make life better, and even make your parties and entertaining better. I suppose this is why they are still in business in spite of recent declines in consumer spending.
It is also interesting to note that Michaels owns Aaron Brothers stores. When you think of it that makes sense because Aaron Brothers also has a similar aggressive newspaper weekly coupon advertising program. I imagine my next site will be Aaron Brothers coupons. I do not think so . This one was hard enough.
One last fact that you may find interesting. 90% of the Michael’s store customers are female. I wonder if that reflects the method of advertising their Michaels coupons? Well either way 63% of those women are married and 46% of those are between 35 and 54. Interesting demographics I think.
Future Of This Site.
As has been said I do not know what else to mention on a site about Michaels coupons. I think in the future I will follow up with what I wrote earlier and write about the projects that I do from Michaels and that I used Michaels coupons to purchase. For example I save 20% recently on some picture framing I had them do. It was great to take some old trinket memorabilia and have it mounted in a raised glass frame. Very nice and extremely well done.
